Robin Lake Fine Art

I have just completed a BA (hons) in Fine Art in Practice awarded by Brighton University. In September 2022 I will start an MA in Fine Art at Central St Martins.

I am a contemporary mixed media artist Through my work I explore themes of relationships, toxic masculinity, identity, human impact on the environment and my struggle with dyslexia.  I achieve this through my art by creating a visual tension and often misleading the viewer and challenging their preconceptions through various mediums such as painting, sculpture, photography and chemigrams. 

I am inspired by a wide range of artists but particularly the works of  Anselm Kiefer, the physical elements of his practice are vast and represent the collective memory, culture, literature, the spiritual and mythology.
